A storytelling and community initiative dedicated to amplifying the voices of people who have lived through trauma, violence, addiction, displacement, stigma, and silence—and are still here. This project creates space for honest, human, and dignity-centered storytelling through photography, interviews, creative writing, audio, film, exhibitions, and community conversations.
"We believe survival is not the end of the story."
More Than Survival challenges narratives rooted in shame, victimhood, and invisibility by focusing on resilience, healing, identity, and the complexity of rebuilding a life. It centers young people, women, minorities, migrants, LGBTQIA+ communities, people in recovery, and individuals whose experiences are too often ignored, misunderstood, or politicized.
"More Than Survival is not about exposing pain for consumption. It is about reclaiming voice, visibility, agency, and humanity. Because people are more than what they survived."
